Meet the team

Julie Lynn

"I first became engaged in politics as a teenager in 1979 — a seismic year not just in music, but in how the country was run. Growing up in the East Midlands, just after the Winter of Discontent, I quickly became aware of how deeply politics shapes everyday life.

Our institutions, both public and private, have been captured by identity politics. Free speech is under threat. As a former teacher and writer, I never imagined I'd see such censorship in the UK."

A Country in Crisis

The past 12 years have seen political chaos both at home and abroad. But the issues run deeper and stretch further back. Since the turn of the century, our towns and cities have undergone rapid, radical change.

Immigration has exploded to unsustainable levels, without public consent. Reform is the only party putting this crisis at the top of the agenda.

We don’t need to be told the country is in managed decline, we see it and feel it:

  • Porous borders

  • Social unrest

  • A broken justice system

  • An NHS under immense pressure

  • An unaffordable welfare state

  • Food insecurity

  • Crumbling water infrastructure

  • Skyrocketing national debt

  • Punishing taxation and red tape

Is it any wonder that economic growth has stalled, and wealth is leaving the country every 45 minutes?

I joined Reform UK a year ago because I believe in this country. I love other nations and cultures, but this is my home. And I want it to have a confident, prosperous, and democratic future.
